I graduated with a BS in PT from New York University 31 years ago. I have practiced in most settings and currently am a tenured associate professor at Florida International University. I was Chairperson of the FIU PT Program from 1997-99. I have been the Director of Recruitment and retention for over 20 years at FIU. My research interests include cultural competency and learning styles. I have received funding for inclusion of diversity issues in the curriculum, scholarships for disadvantaged students and a student research journal. MY areas of clinical expertise are: Women's Health, Wound Management, Cultural Competency and Clinical Education.
