Christian qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 in Australia, and completed his PhD relating to foot orthotics and lower limb biomechanics in 2010. At various private practices in Australia and London he has combined his strong research background with a strong passion and ability to treat a wide range of patients, from sedentary to high level sports. Christian continues to combine research with clinical practice, maintaining a part time teaching and research role at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia His research and practice are primarily focussed on knee pain/osteoarthritis injury management and prevention, tendinopathy and running injuries. This role includes leading GLA:D Australia, which aims to improve access to appropriate exercise and education to all Australians with osteoarthritis; and TREK, a project aimed at improving access to knowledge of evidence-based treatments. He is passionate about bringing his research knowledge and extensive clinical experience together to treat patients of all ages and physical activity levels to get them back to being able to do the things they love.
