Christopher K. Cousins has practiced orthopedic and sports Physical Therapy in Washington DC since receiving his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University in 1987. He received a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Earlham College in 1984. Mr. Cousins completed long term internships at Grady Memorial Hospital in advanced trauma rehabilitation and Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute in orthopedics. He has held the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Mr. Cousins has completed the American Physical Therapy Association’s orthopedic specialty training course, as well as multiple advanced Orthopedic and Manual Therapy training programs.
Mr. Cousins is a member of the District of Columbia’s Physical Therapy Licensing Board. He is a member of the APTA, in the Orthopedic and Private Practice special interest groups as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has lectured on orthopedic topics at George Washington University Medical School, Howard University Physical Therapy School and The World Bank Employee Health Center, in addition to multiple local health clubs and trainer’s groups. Mr. Cousins maintains an active role in clinical education.
Mr. Cousins maintains a primary interest in orthopedic manual and sports Physical Therapy with focus on conditioning, injury prevention and rehabilitation of the knees, shoulders and cervicothoracic spine.
