About Me[edit | edit source]
I qualified as a physiotherapist with a first class degree at the University of Genoa, Italy in 2013. During my first years post-qualification, I worked in a variety of different clinical environments and with a variety of conditions, including msk, neuro and orthopaedic related disorders. This gave me the opportunity to explore some of the various ways in which physiotherapy is applied. I developed my interest for manual therapy and msk disorders, which led me to obtain a Master’s degree in Osteopathy for Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal Disorders from the Madrid School of Osteopathy in cooperation with the University of Verona.
I have also completed further studies in Osteopathy, during which I became an assistant lecturer for some of the lessons at the Osteopathy School of Madrid. In the meantime, I also ran a small physiotherapy clinic in cooperation with some colleagues in Italy. In 2018, I decided to take another step forward in my career and decided to move to UK, where I have worked as a physiotherapist in private centres, dealing with a variety of different conditions.
I am currently working for a private clinic in Reading, mainly visiting patients with msk disorders.
I often visited the Physiopedia website during my graduate studies and I continue to do so when searching for articles, or when I want to keep up to date with specific topics concerning current patients. Therefore, I was thrilled when I found out I could contribuite actively to its development and I enthusiastically decided to join this project.
