I am a pediatric physiotherapist working with children with disabilities in the rehabilitation center with NGOs and private clinic; specializing in neurodevelopment treatment mainly focusing on cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and gross developmental delay and club feet children. Working in Ethiopia for last 28 years and Serra Leon for short periods.

My teaching experience focuses on training community based rehabilitation workers to deliver services at home level in the community for children with disabilities and working with as a supervisor and manager to coordinate the service delivery and jointly working with an occupational therapist and a speech therapist in the community.

I have gained massive experience in community based rehabilitation in Ethiopia and I have done my M.Sc. dissertation focusing on Community based rehabilitation in normal setting verse post conflict setting.I have presented at a different workshop and experience sharing with different NGOs in Ethiopia on community based rehabilitation and traveling to different part of south east Africa for the workshop. Like walking, swimming and play football and reading.

  • Since (1996- 1998); Senior Physiotherapist in club feet and orthopedic case management for children with disabilities with Cheshire Foundation; Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
  • Since (1999-2001); Senior Physiotherapist working in the community as a community-based rehabilitation trainer, supervisor, and manager for community-based rehabilitation workers with Volunteer Council for Handicapped; Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
