Dr. Smith, Chair of the Department of Athletic Training & Physical Therapy at the University of North Florida and Academic Coordinator of the Brooks/UNF Clinical Residency, joined the UNF faculty in 2000 and is an associate professor. Dr. Smith received his Ed.D. degree (UNF, 2004), Master of Medical Science (Emory University, 1991), B.S. in Physical Therapy (University of Maryland, 1980). He received OCS in 1993 with recertification in 2002 and was recognized as a Fellow of the AAOMPT in 1999 with recertification in 2009. His research interests include manual therapy, the use of technology in education, clinical reasoning models, and clinical outcomes.
