I'm a physiotherapy educator based at a university in the Western Cape of South Africa. I'm interested in social media and other emerging technologies to facilitate enhanced teaching and learning practice in physiotherapy education. I graduated with a Masters degree in 2008, after looking at the use of information and communication technologies by South African physiotherapy students and universities.<br>

I recently completed my PhD research, where I&nbsp;looked at how we can use technology-mediated approaches to fundamentally change teaching and learning practices in South African health professions education.<br>  


I'm currently busy with my Doctoral research where I'm looking at undergraduate curriculum development in our department, moving to a blended learning approach using online technologies to enable communication and collaboration to better facilitate an engaged learning experience.
