About Me
[edit | edit source]

I am a current Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at Bellarmine University as a part of the class of 2016. I am originally from Glasgow, Kentucky and one of three children. I have an older sister and a twin brother. I have played sports my whole life and being athletic eventually led to my interest in physical therapy. As a junior in high school I decided I wanted to go to school for physical therapy. I took my first job as a rehab tech job right out of high school. With in days of my first experience in the field I knew physical therapy was the path I wanted to follow. I graduated in December of 2011 from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science degree in biology with a minor in nutrition. I spent the next year and a half working as a tech for RehabCare and STAR Physical Therapy in the Nashville area and enjoying life outside of the classroom. As of May 2013, I began the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at Bellarmine University. I have experience in inpatient acute care, outpatient orthopedic, and skilled nursing settings. My interests for my future practice in the field include sports medicine, neuroscience, and outpatient orthopedic. I am excited to continue my journey through physical therapy school and a lifelong career in the field!

Outside of physical therapy school, I enjoy watching and playing sports, running, cooking, and spending as much time as possible with family, friends, and my dog, Zoey, who is a Boxer/Pitbull mix.
