User:Andrew Hahne

Andrew graduated from La Trobe University, Australia, with an honours degree in Physiotherapy in 2000. He received the David Myer's Univserity Medal as the most outstanding Honours graduate in the Faculty of Health Sciences that year. Since then he has worked in private practice, with a special interest in low back pain (especially lumbar disc herniation with associated radiculopathy). He completed his PhD at La Trobe University in 2011, with his thesis entitled "Conservative management of lumbar disc herniation with associated radiculopathy" passing without ammendments. He received the Stephen Duckett Graduate Research Prize for the most outstanding PhD thesis in the Faculty of Health Sciences. He now holds an academic teaching and research position at La Trobe University, and continues to work 1.5 days per week in clinical practice. He is part of the Low Back Research team at La Trobe, and was a key team member in the recently completed STOPS (Specific Treatment of Problems of the Spine) trials.
