About[edit | edit source]

The Hambisela project is an existing open project that aims to empower and develop the skills of therapists, parents and caregivers of children with cerebral palsy in the low resourced communities.

The project aims to:

  • Enable therapists, families and caregivers to provide a basic level of beneficial, therapeutic, ongoing care for their child affected by cerebral palsy
  • Enhance their understanding of cerebral palsy
  • Provide opportunities for groups of parents to meet and support each other as they face similar challenges in raising a child with a disability.

The team behind the Hambisela project is keen and proactive to share this knowledge with as many people as possible and therefore have teamed up with Physiopedia to turn each of their modules which were run as a community based training session into Physiopedia Pages. This provides access and training to therapists world wide. Each of the modules aim to cover activities of daily living and can be found in Physiopedia pages listed below. Each of the module pages will provide you with a variety of resources you can access. You can find out more about Hambisela here.
