Origin[edit | edit source]
From distal part of superior and lateral surface of calcaneus ,lateral talocalcaneal ligament and apex of inferior extensor retinaculum.
Insersion

To dorsal surface of base of proximal phalanx of big toe .
Nerve supply[edit | edit source]
Deep peroneal L4 ,L5 , S1 .
Action[edit | edit source]
Extend the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe .
