I graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy in 2013. My undergraduate placements covered a broad range of physiotherapy within the acute setting including: musculoskeletal outpatients, trauma and orthopaedics, women's health, respiratory and elderly care. In addition, I spent time volunteering as a therapy assistant at a rehabilitation centre for adults with acquired traumatic brain injuries. Since graduating, I have worked in an acute hospital with over 560 beds as a rotational band 5 junior physiotherapist. I have completed junior rotations within trauma and orthopaedics, elderly care, and acute stroke. I have also completed competency training within on-call respiratory physiotherapy. | |||
My current career plan is to continue to gain further experience within the core, junior rotations before going abroad next year. It is my intention to shadow and work within a variety of countries, gaining invaluable experience into the different approaches to assessment, treatment and management. | |||
