About Me[edit | edit source]

I completed my degree in Physioterapy in 2013 at the University of Milan, I later completed a MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and I moved to the University of Stirling (Scotland, UK) as a PhD student in 2018. I'm currently in the last year of PhD, my research focuses on ageing and movement behaviours. Particularly, the effect of physical activity and sleep on the musculoskeletal system (i.e. sarcopenia and osteoporosis) in older adults living in developed and developing countries.

After my BSc I worked for 4 years before joining the research environment. I used to work mainly with older adults in different settings and my focus was on ladies pelvic floor rehabilitation.

I'm a big supporter of MOVEMENT, I love encouraging people to engage more in physical activities and see the positive effects on their physical and mental health.
