Wheelchair Service Provision Case Studies - Prescription

Peter[edit | edit source]

Peter lives in a rural village. He is very active and strong. He has good balance. Every day Peter travels nearly 1 km on a dirt path to get to and from work. When it rains, the path is very muddy. [1]

Natasha[edit | edit source]

Natasha lives in an apartment in a town. She has had a stroke, and is able to stand up to transfer. She is unable to push a wheelchair herself as her arms are very weak. Natasha sometimes slides to the side of the seat and her family members are worried that she is uncomfortable. [1]
