Cheryl Burditt Footer is a physical therapist in the United States. She completed a BA degree in Exercise Science from Occidental College (1987), and Master (1990) and Ph.D. (1999) degrees in physical therapy (1990) from the University of Miami. Her passion for neurology, pediatrics, and global health is evidenced through 30 years of clinical practice overlapping a 20–year commitment to the development and advancement of physical therapists through educational initiatives and consultation invitations in the United States, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, and China. Dr. Footer’s publication and presentation history reflects her dedication to advancing the education of physical therapists through the development and implementation of innovative teaching and learning strategies. Most recently, her efforts have targeted the strengthening and integration of physical therapy and other rehabilitation professions into health systems through interprofessional education as part of the Learning, Acting and Building for Rehabilitation in Health Systems consortium (ReLAB-HS), a USAID funded project.
