Hyperthermia
This modality involves using deep-heating machines that combine a superficial cooling system with a microwave-powered heating system. This can increase the temperature of target tissues approximately 4_C without damaging the skin. Presumably this increased temperature
results in increased blood flow and subsequent healing to the damaged area.
