Samantha Jewell is a 3rd year physical therapy student at Des Moines University. She graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where she was a four-year letter winner and two-year captain on Luther College Women's Basketball Team. She graduated with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She is currently a member of the Physical Therapy Club at Des Moines University as well as an American Physical Therapy Association and Iowa Physical Therapy Association member. She is interested in pursuing a physical therapy career in outpatient orthopaedics.

About Me

I was born and raised on a farm in Decorah, Iowa. I was very active in sports throughout high school but had many injuries involving my ankles, knees, and shoulders. I was fortunate to have some wonderful therapists that helped me recover from these injuries and improve my overall strength in order to prevent further injuries and continue playing the sports I loved. These experiences motivated me to pursue a career in physical therapy.

Education

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College where I majored in Biology and minored in Psychology. I am currently a 3rd year physical therapy student at Des Moines University.
