Development Ideas

We are always looking for new ways to develop the Physiopedia resource that will be beneficial to individuals and to the profession. The ideas that we have and are mulling over are listed below.  However as a collaborative site we would like to include you, our users, in the development of this resource and invite you to contribute to Physiopedia's future.

Take a look at the list and make your contributions to the ideas that we have or add your own ideas at the bottom of the list.

Clinical Networks
[edit | edit source]

We would like to add clinical networks to the site so that users can join up to the clinical network in which they are interested.  These networks would allow social networking and discussion among people within that group.  The networks would also help to organise/focus the other development ideas mentioned below.  We would be looking for moderators in each area to keep an eye on each network.

If you have any ideas related to this or would like to be involved in the clinical networks, please contact Rachael with your ideas.

CPD Programme
[edit | edit source]

In the future we would to run continuing education and professional development courses within Physiopedia.  For this we need the support of experts to provide the teaching content and moderation of each course.

If you have any ideas related to this or would like to be involved in the CPD programme, please contact Rachael with your ideas.

Mentoring Scheme
[edit | edit source]

We would like to enable the matching of physiotherapy and physical therapy students and clinicians from less resouced countries with those from well resourced nations.  The idea being that the mentee will be able to seel advice, information and resources from their mentor, and the mentor would learn more about the profession in the nation of their mentee.

If you have any ideas related to this or would like to be involved in the mentoring scheme, please contact Rachael with your ideas.

IST programmes[edit | edit source]

Physiopedia offers a great place for work colleagues can collaboratively undertake in-service training, especially where they work remotely from each other.  We would like to talk to physiotherapy and physical therapy departments and clincs about this opportunity.

If you have any ideas related to this or would like to be involved in the IST programes, please contact Rachael with your ideas.

Journal Club

If you have any ideas related to this or would like to be involved in the journal club, please contact Rachael with your ideas.
