Category:Cervical Spine

The cervical spine is an area in which stability has been sacrificed for mobility. Since it is situated between the heavy head and the stable thoracic spine and ribs, the cervical spine is vulnerable to injury. It is divided into three areas - the craniovertebral (CV) region (C0-2), the mid cervical region (C3-6) and the cervicothoracic junction (C7-T1/2).
