User:Judith Lane
My name is Judith Lane and I am a lecturer in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh UK. I am the programme leader for the MSc (pre-registration) Physiotherapy programme and am involved in teaching professional studies and research methods both to physiotherapists and other allied health professionals. I have an interest in teaching and learning and in 2008, became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Previous research projects have included using motion analysis to explore hip joint forces during various activities of daily living, following total hip arthroplasty, the biomechanics of knife stab attacks and as a local co-ordinator for a multi-national study of outcomes in total knee arthroplasty. My doctoral thesis was undertaken in the College of Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and explored joint stiffness and function following total knee arthroplasty. I continue to work collaborate with clinical colleagues at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on outcomes of joint replacement.
